Besides developing our race car Formula Student competition, HKU Racing also develop different education programs aiming to deliver the knowledge we have and promote motorsports & automobile engineering to the next generations of Hong Kong. We believe that it is part of our social responsibility.
Electrical vehicles are vehicles that are powered by electrical motors and rechargeable batteries. They offer numerous advantages over traditional petroleum and diesel vehicles, including lower emissions, greater energy efficiency, and reduced dependence on fossil fuels. As the world targets to reduce emissions, the adoption of electrical vehicles is growing more important.
On March 10, 2023, HKU Racing hosted a STEAM education workshop at Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School for two classes of Secondary 3 students there, introducing them about the fundamental knowledge on electrical vehicle, and let them have a hands-on experience on building a remote-control electric vehicle themselves.
Date: March 10, 2022 (Thursday)
Time: 2:30 – 5:30 pm
Venue: Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School
Participants: 60 secondary 3 students from Tseung Kwan O Government Secondary School
