  • Seats are limited. Zoom broadcast is available if the seating quota is full.

About the speaker

Professor Jinyue Jerry Yan

Professor Yan, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering, is a Chair-Professor at Hong Kong PolyU. With a PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), his research spans renewable energy, urban energy systems, and climate mitigation, leading to 500+ publications and 10+ patents. Supervising 200+ post-doctoral researchers and 50+ doctoral candidates, he secured grants surpassing 20 million Euros. Professor Yan’s contributions have garnered esteemed awards such as the Global Human Settlements Award and the EU Energy Islands’ Award, recognizing his impactful work in the field.

About the project

Multifunctional Filters for Protecting Public Health

Clean water and clean air are vital for public health. This project focuses on developing high-efficiency and environmentally sustainable filters for removing harmful air/water pollutants. The team has developed novel architectures and functionalities for the filters to achieve high permeance, high removal efficiency, and excellent reusability.
