As we move towards Sixth Generation (6G) wireless networks, the focus shifts from speed and capacity to building intelligent, adaptable, and resilient systems. This talk explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into 6G networks, focusing on developing resilient intelligence for dynamic and resource-constrained environments. We present a novel framework that combines reinforcement learning, multi-agent coordination, and reward modeling to tackle challenges in wireless optimization, especially in environments with sparse, noisy, and delayed feedback. Our methods enable continuous adaptation to dynamic changes in traffic, mobility, and energy constraints, enhancing the resilience of 6G systems for critical applications like autonomous transport, industrial IoT, and emergency response. Through practical case studies, we demonstrate how adaptive intelligence can optimize network performance and improve the scalability of future wireless systems, offering insights into the path towards resilient, intelligent 6G networks.

About the speaker

Dr Feiran You

Dr Feiran You is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Hong Kong, where she works in the NICE Lab within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Her research focuses on edge intelligence and the application of large language models (LLMs) for wireless network optimization. Dr You completed her Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Sydney, under the mentorship of Professor Abbas Jamalipour. Her current work involves integrating Generative AI with reinforcement learning to optimize resource allocation and decision-making for edge-enabled content services in dynamic wireless environments. At the NICE Lab, she is focused on developing adaptive mechanisms for real-time service optimization, leveraging edge intelligence and LLMs to balance computing, caching, and transmission efficiency in dynamic wireless networks. Dr You has published extensively in IEEE journals and conferences and has received several prestigious awards, including the First Prize at the IEEE VTS NSW Student Contest.
