Project information
Project descriptions
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, a face mask has help us to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 viruses. The use of the mask has been substantially increased. For further enhancing the functionality of the mask, it is desirable for developing a smart product with an integration of digital technologies, including IoT, AI, mobile devices, and cloud computing. The smart product has the following features to minimize the spread of the COVID-19:
- Monitor and record the air quality of the surrounding;
- Notify users if the surrounding air quality is not acceptable;
- Keep track of the user’s geolocations for facilitating an easy identification of suspected users;
- Publish the potentially hazardous areas to the users after analytics of collected data;
- Can be used for many times with an appropriate replaceable filter; and
- Reduce environmental pollution.
As a result, the proposed smart mask would help building a safe and green community.
